For the many years pomegranates and acai berry have been used to fight inflammation. All the two are known as anti inflammatory fruits, used to make tart juices. They are dark purple in appearance and lower the risk of the chronic diseases. In addition, they boost the immune system. Recent studies have shown that eating fruits that are blue, purple, and dark red can help in preventing memory loss over time.
It is not only the above two that are anti inflammatory fruits. The other fruits with the same effect of cancer-fighting, anti inflammatory and health promoting effects include black cherries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries. You can think of any fruit in this category as long as it has a red, dank purple or blue color.
It is advisable to eat anti inflammatory fruits daily. The easiest way is to add them into your snacks or daily meal. The fruits can be frozen, fresh, or juices. With time they will pay off for your whole family. You can also make your own fruit juices and mix them with herb extracts. However, you should not add sugars to your juice.
The anti inflammatory fruits can be used as alternative to the syrup. The syrup has high amounts of sugar. You can substitute it with mixed fresh berries to top your waffles or pancakes. This is because fresh berries are natural sweeteners and contain minimal amounts of sugar. Other fruits you can regularly use include avocados, olives, cucumbers, and many more.
