You can involve a healthy eating plan which include foods for joint health to reduce the pain associated with inflammation responses of the body and more specifically those which target the joints due to joint infections and other complications. This will involve eating an anti inflammatory diet which eliminates or reduces the painful symptoms. Eating these natural foods greatly helps to reduce some aspects of inflammation.
Included in foods for joint health are foodstuffs containing omega 3 fatty acids which are greatly recommended if you are a victim of joint pain due to inflammation. Some sources where you can derive this natural supplement are fish oil, pacific oyster, and sea weed and soya beans. Many patients have produced positive results after using these foods.
Olive oil has a compound called oleocanthal which plays a vital role in providing a mechanism through which the arthritis-related process of inflammation is reduced. It has since been part of foods for joint health which are recommended to persons with this problem. It does this by blocking inflammatory pathways in a way similar as drugs such as ibuprofen does. You can use the oil for cooking food instead of vegetable oil.
Also in the foods for joint health list are antioxidants which help to reduce the effects of foreign radicals in the body which damage the cells. They have also been found to prevent and slow down the progression of joint disease. Beta cryptoxanthin is found in foods such as pumpkins, papayas, oranges and carrots. Vitamin C is a good antioxidant which you can find naturally in fruits such as guavas, strawberries, oranges, lemons and pineapples.
Vitamin D has also a vital role in preventing the two types of arthritis. These are rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Those with deficiency of this vitamin are prone to a severe condition of joint pain. Your body makes this by being exposed to direct sunlight. You can also get vitamin D in supplement form, ideal if you live in an extremely hot or cold climate or spend a lot of time indoors.
Spices, especially ginger and turmeric have got anti inflammatory effects and are recommended if you are experiencing any case of joint pain. Ginger is known to reduce pain to some extent.
