A great way to eat healthier foods and start a weight loss plan is to start by creating a healthy eating plan for a week. In doing this, you are only looking at one week at a time, which makes it more manageable to change your eating habits. When you create a healthy eating plan for a week, you are going to be able to make small adjustments to the current eating style you follow, and the foods and beverages that you are currently consuming on a daily basis.
When you choose to lay out a healthy eating plan for a week, you can write down all the foods you are eating. In doing this you can see when you eat, what you eat, when you are hungry, when you tend to "cheat", or eat foods you should not be eating, and so forth. From there you can start to make small changes on a daily basis. Instead of eating cereal with sugar in the morning, you can consider making a swap for oatmeal. Or, instead of eating red meat everyday, you can swap out chicken or fish a few nights of the week for your dinner.
When you write out a healthy eating plan for a week, you see things, and you can see how small changes can make a big difference. You are not trying to change all habits at once, but instead make minor tweaks to the diet and the way you eat, until you feel better, and know you are eating much healthier foods each day. You can see things on paper, and it is much easier to remember what you eat, and when you eat it if you write it down, rather than simply trying to remember off the top of your head the things you consume each day.
