If you are looking for a healthy eating plan for a week, there are fast and easy meals you can prepare that are full of great nutrition.
Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. You need the nutrition to maintain energy and to avoid overeating later to compensate. A healthy eating plan for a week can include breakfast items that are quick to prepare. One of the best things you can do for your health is to juice fruit and vegetables. A very nutritious juice made with carrots, cucumbers and celery can be prepared in minutes including clean up. Juicing is also good for detoxification. Or you may wish to have plain yogurt or a soy brand with any fruit. Cooked oats with soy or non fat milk and cinnamon and fruit is very healthy as well. All of these meals provide lots of protein and fiber so they will prevent hunger pangs happening in the middle of the morning.
There also are simple lunches you can have as part of a healthy eating plan for a week. A sandwich or wrap, made with whole grains, with chopped veggies is a wholesome lunch. Homemade soups can be prepared with almost any vegetable you like and seasoned with herbs and spices, rather than salt or harmful preservatives.
Nutritious suppers can be made with plant based foods such as quinoa, brown rice, and lentils adding a lot of protein. All beans have protein as well as fiber. Fish such as salmon, sole, cod and trout have important omega 3 fatty acids. It is best to avoid meat, but if you do want to eat it all the fat and skin should be removed. Salads are good choices for any meal and adding nuts gives an extra health boost. A healthy dressing can be made with olive or flax oil, instead of creamy dressings that usually have quite a bit of fat.
When you try a healthy eating plan for a week and experiment with foods you have not eaten before, or eaten only sparingly, may lead to permanent changes in diet. Eliminating, or at least greatly decreasing the amount of saturated fat and harmful additives are very important to prevent illness and disease.
