Going on a diet does not necessarily mean starving yourself or eating tasteless meals just to avoid intake of all those fats, carbohydrates, salts, and the like. In fact, you can still enjoy a delicious yet healthy meal. Coming up with a 7 day healthy eating plan can be a great help in doing so.
Doing some research may help you mix and match those ingredients in your plate for your 7 day healthy eating plan. For example, instead of eating red meat, you can replace it with tofu, legumes, or tuna as a source of protein. The latter are rich in protein without the saturated fat. If you are having some vegetable salad, instead of using some creamy and salty dressing, sprinkle it with olive oil and balsamic vinegar instead. It gives a richer flavor naturally.
Eat more fruits and leafy vegetables because it will provide your body enough fiber to cleanse it while you are following the 7 day healthy eating plan. Drink water instead of sipping some coffee, soda, and all those flavored drinks. This will help you lessen your sugar intake. Have vegetable sticks or slice some fruits for your snack.
These are just some examples of the healthy but tasty foods that you can munch on while you are undergoing your week-long diet. It would be wise to avoid processed foods, junk foods, ice cream, and all the usual stuff that you eat during this period. They may be a treat to your palate but the long term effect of these foods to your body is not that rewarding at all. As the saying goes "you are what you eat".
Following a 7 day healthy eating plan takes a lot of discipline and conviction. But in the end, it is something that your body will be thankful for. It is all worth the sacrifice for sure. It would be good to have this every month because it will serve as a detoxification for your body.
